On March 8th, our class went on a trip to the Sugar Bush. We learned how sap is collected from the maple trees, and turned into maple syrup. We watched the sap drip from the spyle and into the sap bucket. It tasted like sweetened water. We also went on a sleigh ride through the woods, visited the animal barn, climbed up on big hay stacks, played on the play structure, and the best part was eating the taffy on the snow! The bus ride home was much quieter as some of the students fell asleep after all of the exhausting fun!
