We drew a picture of a housing community, a river, a forest, and some animals. We broke our "rock" (cookie) in order to find "minerals" (chocolate chips). We then looked at the effect mining has on our environment. The houses were destroyed, the rivers were filled with rocks and the forests were gone. The animals didn't have a habitat. We then got to enjoy eating the cookie!!!
What a fabulous day. Beautiful weather, great friends, and a lot of fun! For those who did not attend our art gallery night, here are our Canadian Landmark pictures. "I am Canadian" "Je suis Canadien/ne".
