During Outdoor Education, we looked for and found many shapes. We noticed that shapes are everywhere! We found them on the ground, on the walls, on our toys, and even the play structure!

Every Monday, the Blue Whales and Orange Tigers pair up with Mrs. MacLeod's grade 6 classes to read and discuss books. Some of the our students are even reading to their grade 6 buddies! They are really enjoying getting to know their reading buddy. On November 11th, the Blue Whales and Orange Tigers celebrated Remembrance Day together. We were very lucky to have Major Yadav come to our class and talk to us about peace, poppies, kindness and remembering soldiers. The children had many questions for him about his job and his uniform.
All the Kindergarten classes took advantage of the beautiful weather on November 2nd and had a Fall Exploration Day. The kids had the opportunity to try many new activities and soak up some sunshine!!! Building our train station was so much fun. We thought about places we knew where the train could visit and we posted our "arrival" and "departure" sign. We had a tall clock to let us know what time it was and what time our train would leave or arrive. We made a ticket booth with tickets and play money in our cash register. We painted boxes to make our train. We looked at pictures of trains to see that they needed: wheels, lights, and windows. We had a suitcase for our travels. We often heard "all aboard!" as our train left the station!
