During our outdoor physical education, we decided to go for a walk. Skyler and Hannah noticed that along the edge of the forest, there was a lot of garbage. They asked if they would be able to clean up the mess to help keep our community and the animal habitats clean. So the whole class participated in the yard clean up. We decided to make it girls against the boys to see who could collect the most garbage. The bags were about equal in the amount collected, but the boys bag was definitely heavier in the end.
On Friday September 29th, our school participated in the Terry Fox walk/run. Our class goal was to raise $100, then it quickly changed to $200 when we surpassed the one hundred dollar mark. Our class raised $295!!! Way over our goal! Thank you to everyone for helping us raise all of that money to help find a cure for cancer. Our class was also the one who brought in the most amount of money in the whole school. We got to lead the event by starting off the walk! I am so proud of my Grade 4's. Way to go! |
